While I toiled away at the office this morning Hyuna and the boys stayed very busy on the homefront. Beds were made, toys were put away, laundry was done. Time was spent reading, practicing keyboard, and working on math skills.
When I came home the boys helped get ready to set up the pool by raking up pine needles and pine cones, gathering the larger sticks that Tofi and Jack like to pull from the wood pile, and making sure the area for the pool was smooth and free of anything sharp. In hardly no time at all we had the pool set up and filled with water. Aye, these mates know how to work!
Rub-a-dub-dub, three boys in a tub. One hour stretched into almost two. Nobody grew the land legs to come ashore and head to the library, which was the original plan. It's a good thing we live in the land of manana!
Monday Munchies
For home evening treats we made some cookie dough bowls to fill with ice cream, something the boys helped find on Pinterest.
Well, it looked like a great idea when we saw it! No worries though, we just came up with Plan B: cookie crumbs, vanilla pudding and whipped topping. Nobody seemed too disappointed.
For FHE we played Scripture Man, a fun way to introduce them to scripture chase. Seth and Gabe tied for first and Hyuna got bombed; Keven and I had boring scores. All the while Kris yelled and cheered with excitement. Oh wait, I think that was for the WWE.
A Skype session with Sven was a great way to end the evening. We ♥ having this fun family here for a whole month - sure wish it could be all my chillins and grandchillins! Now wouldn't that be wild and crazy fun??!
